International Women’s Day is an annual March 8 observance. It is a global day to honour women’s rights and achievements across the social, economic, cultural, and political. Gender equality has always been the main sustainability focus in Bursa Malaysia to promote gender equality in the marketplace as well as the broad community.
In conjunction with International Women’s Day, Bursa Malaysia hosted the annual Ring The Bell on 8th March 2021. Themed #equalityforequity, the event aimed to encourage gender-equal access to opportunities available in the equity market.

CHALLENGES
Due to the global pandemic, Ring The Bell for #equalityforequity was pivoted to virtual and streamed live on BursaMKTPLC Facebook. With the technical support by a.c.e, we tuned the virtual event into a very interactive webinar. The panel discussion featured the group messaging and a lively Q&A session that allowed the attendees to discuss and exchange insights with a panel line-up of women from diverse professional backgrounds.
